By serious illness we mean any type of cancer or benign tumour, including leukaemia, Hodgkin's disease or other lymphoma, or other illnesses that are not cancers (like e.g. diabetes, gallstones, thyroid disease, fractured hip, etc)
Do you have any relatives in the study?
Many women who have taken part in the study are related to other study members, but we do not always know about this. It is important to know about relationships of women who have taken part, in order to be able to study why breast cancer sometimes occurs in families.
